This Marketing Internship took place during an interesting time in human history, so that’s something. However, I made sure to keep things positive in the light of so much darkness consuming the world.
Most of what I did was graphic design work: creating a new menu, redesigning and editing sandwich boards, and creating event menus. But here are some instances where I got to write for Saadia’s brand.
Breaking the news.
Below is a social post and email newsletter I wrote to our customers to hopefully soften the blow of our temporary closing.
“As you've probably guessed, we are taking steps along with other small businesses across the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Corona Virus and we will continue to update you as we make them. Here are the first ones you should be aware of.
- We ask that you use either online ordering/pick up, driver delivery services, or non touch pay services for orders in an effort to prevent the further spread of the virus and we encourage people to practice self quarantine and social distancing as well. There will be links to our online ordering process on all of our social media bios and on our website as well!
- We will stay open, but our hours might be reduced. Hours will be posted on our website and Facebook once we've figured out what times will work best for us and our customers. If anything comes in from authorities either recommending or asking us to close the store, we will let you know.
- We will be cancelling and postponing all events for the time being until it is safe for us to hold them at a future date.
While this is going to be a stressful time for our community, many other small businesses, and people around the world, we ask that you stay calm, positive, and safe. Health is our main priority and we will do anything to help keep our community healthy, even if it means making less juice.
We love you all; please be safe out there and, of course, wash your hands!”
