Calendar year-end is, in the fundraising world, “the most wonderful time of the year”. For non-profits, charities, universities, and anyone looking to raise funds for a good cause — you have to stand out.

What better way for WKU to stand out from the crowd than utilizing the voice of a walking red flag?

In the voice of one of the strangest mascots in history, I centered this WKU calendar year-end fundraising letter on tradition, Big Red lore, and the potential for such an unhinged community to make an incredible impact on today’s and future Hilltoppers.
